The World Economic Forum has identified the top 10 skills of the future as complex problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, people management, coordinating with others, emotional intelligence, service orientation, negotiation and cognitive flexibility. It is therefore important to highlight the value that basic education contributes to building these future skills.

This event provided a platform to highlight the bridge between future skills and basic education in Nigeria. The event also emphasized the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders in rearing a generation focused on innovating to bring about the actualization of a new Nigeria.
