Over the years, increased interest in capacity development is a response to widely acknowledged limitations in the development and social sector. These limitations have restricted sustainable impact in priority areas such as education, health, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, agriculture, poverty reduction etc. Capacity development draws on the lessons of years of experience, fostering approaches which are more systematic, scalable, integrated, and focused on sustainable results.
Our Approach: TEP Learning Academy (TEPLA) is the training arm of The Education Partnership Centre. The academy was instituted as a platform to provide capacity development services to individuals and organisation; working in the development and allied sector; and to strengthen the work done within the development space. As an organisation, TEP Centre has developed various competencies as it delivers quality services to clients, partners, donors, grantees and other service beneficiaries. The TEP Learning Academy therefore leverages on the wealth of experience, proven track record and skills garnered over the years of TEP Centre’s practice to design, develop and deliver well researched course titles and contents that give course participants the right knowledge and exposure to the subject area.
Result: So far, TEPLA has trained over 100 people on various courses like Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; Scaling Up; Test Development; etc. Some of TEPLA’s beneficiary organisations are Slum2School, Teach for Nigeria (T4N), ACT Foundation, Linking Hands Foundation, UNICEF and Teacher Development Programme (TDP).
